Simple Creamy Ranch Dip Recipe

Ingredients for Simple Ranch Dip
This creamy ranch dip is thick, smooth, and ideal for dipping in veggies and crackers. It’s made with simple ingredients that you probably have in your pantry, making it the perfect last-minute dip to take to parties.
You will need:
- Hidden Valley Ranch Dry Seasoning
- Mayonnaise
- Sour Cream
- Garlic Powder

How to Make Creamy Ranch Dip for Veggies
- In a medium bowl, mix the sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Stir in the ranch seasoning and garlic powder until combined.
- Adjust taste if needed (if you find it’s too tangy, add a little more mayo).
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour for the flavors to combine.
Variations:
- Add 4 ounces of softened cream cheese for an extra creamy version of this dip.
- Lighten this dip up by replacing half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt. You can also use light sour cream and mayonnaise, but just keep in mind that light sour cream can be more tangy, so you may need to adjust the taste and add a little bit more mayo and chill for up to 2 hours.
- Spice up your dip with a little bit of crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
- If you want the dip to be extra mild, use only a ¾ packet of the ranch seasoning.
Helpful Tips:
- Make sure to chill before serving for at least an hour, so the flavors blend.
- Depending on what ranch packet you use or if you decide to use light mayonnaise or sour cream, I would recommend tasting before chilling and adjust as needed.
Note: Great Value ranch seasoning is much tangier than Hidden Valley, so if I have that on hand, I will either use less of the seasoning or add a little more mayo.
Storage
- Store ranch dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Stir well before serving.
