Ingredients

  • 1 package Great Value Pizza Crust Mix or favorite pizza dough
  • ½ cup water for pizza crust mix
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • grated Parmesan cheese sprinkle
  • Italian seasoning sprinkle
  • 1 tsp avocado oil for the griddle

Instructions

  • Prepare your pizza crust mix according to package instructions. (You can also use your favorite pizza dough).
  • Shape your pizza dough until it's round (or oval- like mine).
  • Preheat your Blackstone to medium-low heat and coat the surface with avocado oil.
  • Then, place on the griddle and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the bottom is lightly brown and flip with a spatula.
  • Spread your pizza sauce evenly around the pizza dough and then add the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  • Cover with a dome lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is brown.
  • Cooking times can vary depending on the temperature of your Blackstone. So, keep checking the bottom of the pizza to ensure it doesn't burn. You can also turn your heat down to low, if you find the cheese isn't melting but the crust is browning too fast.

Notes

Helpful Tips

  • This pizza recipe will feed 1-2 people, but we always double or triple the recipe to feed our family of four.
  • Make sure to use medium-low heat to prevent the crust from burning. It cooked very quickly on our griddle so keep a close watch.
  • If you decide to add extra topping, don't overload as it may make the crust soggy.
  • You don't have to use a melting dome if you don't have one but it helps to melt the cheese faster.

Variations

  • Add extra mozzarella cheese and omit the pepperoni for an extra cheesy cheese pizza.
  • Top with cooked sausage, bacon, ham for a triple meat pizza.
  • Love supreme pizza? Add some onions, peppers and mushrooms to the pizza.
  • Try BBQ chicken pizza or buffalo chicken pizza. (they are already on our list of homemade pizza to try on the griddle).

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container or wrap in foil or plastic wrap for up to 3 days.
