You will need:
- russet potatoes

- Parmesan cheese
- salt

How to Cook Garlic Parmesan French Fries in the Air Fryer
- Leaving the skins on, slice your potatoes and then cut into fries.
- Add them to a large dish and soak them in cold water for 30 minutes in the fridge to remove the excess starch (this will help make the fries crispier).
- Drain, and pat the potatoes with a paper towel to dry. Then, add to a large bowl.
- Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and air fry in batches for about 18-20 minutes per batch, shaking every 5-6 minutes.
- Halfway through add some parmesan cheese and more garlic powder.
- When fries are to your desired crispiness, sprinkle the rest of the parmesan cheese and more salt if needed and enjoy!
Variations:
- If you love spice, you can add in some cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- Make loaded fries, and top with bacon bits and cheddar cheese.
- Add some truffle oil for some truffle parmesan fries.
Helpful tips:
- Make sure to dry your potatoes really well after you soak them in the fridge so they crisp up better.
- As with cooking most things in the air fryer, remember not to overcrowd the basket so it won’t take as long to cook.
- Shake every 5-6 minutes while cooking the fries so they cook more evenly.
- Add most of the Parmesan cheese toward the end so it doesn’t burn.
Storage:
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
