Have you heard all the buzz about how amazing air fryers can be and you’re finally ready to take the plunge but have no idea which one to buy? There are so many air fryers on the market today that it can be challenging to find the best one to fit all your needs. One that is not only the correct size for your family but will achieve that perfect golden brown crispiness without all the fat that everyone raves about.
I know when I first heard about the air fryer a few years ago, I was definitely intrigued. I was on a weight loss journey and finding something that would allow me to cook all my favorite fried foods but in a healthier way was exactly what I was looking for.
Since then, I have experimented with making main dishes, breakfast, side dishes, appetizers, desserts, and even holiday dishes in my air fryer. It is without a doubt my favorite small kitchen appliance. It has not only helped me lose weight but I’ve been able to keep it off for the last 4 years.

- Simple to clean as it wipes out easily after cooking.
- It’s extremely versatile as you can do much more than “frying” your favorite foods. You can roast vegetables and even make desserts in your air fryer.
- Keeps your house cool in the summer months, unlike when you use an oven.
- Perfect for the beginner cook, as there is minimal prep making the cooking process quick and easy.

What Size Air Fryer Should I Get?
The most common sizes of air fryers are 3 to 6 quarts. Generally, the smaller size is good for 2 people, and the larger size is better for a family of 4 or more. However, there are smaller and larger versions as well for individual portions or large families.
When deciding what size air fryer to purchase, you may also want to consider how much room you have. If you plan to keep it on your countertop and have a small kitchen. You may want to opt for a smaller air fryer. Although we are a family of 4, I use the Ninja 4qt. Air Fryer and just cook my food in batches if I’m making a lot. It works out perfectly and I don’t have to use up a lot of counter space.
