When I think of summertime treats, the first thing that comes to mind is sweet and juicy berry recipes. Whether it’s enjoying tasty strawberry desserts, like strawberry shortcake, fresh plump blueberry desserts like blueberry pie or deliciously sweet raspberry desserts.
And although, I love all these berries, there is nothing like freshly picked raspberries during the summer. Along with strawberry picking, raspberry picking was one of my very favorite summer time activities as a child.
But, honestly there is just something about raspberry desserts. They are just bursting with sweet and tangy flavor in every bite. The best part is that you can enjoy these easy raspberry dessert recipes all year long.
I know that in our home, we enjoy many raspberry desserts for the various holidays including raspberry thumbprint cookies (which are a must-Christmas cookie in our home) as well as making raspberry cheesecake on Valentine’s day.
Of course, raspberry recipes are also the perfect dessert to take to potlucks and picnics during the summer months because everyone seems to love their deliciously sweet flavor (and I couldn’t agree more!)
