If you’ve been here a while, you’ve probably noticed how much I have enjoyed cooking on my Blackstone griddle this summer. I don’t think we’ve cooked on our grill once because of how convenient it’s been to throw dinner on the Blackstone.

I’ve had so much fun trying out new recipes, but also adapting some of our favorite recipes, like this teriyaki beef stir fry that has quickly become our go-to weeknight dinner. It’s an easy and delicious recipe that my whole family loves (and I’m sure yours will too!)

Tender strips of beef that are combined with crisp stir-fry veggies and a sweet teriyaki sauce that’s full of flavor and better than take-out. It’s perfect for a no-fuss family dinner idea when you need something frugal, simple, and kid-approved.

Why You Will Love This Blackstone Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry

  • Made with only a few ingredients,  so it’s perfect when you are trying to save money on your groceries.
  • Easy recipe with minimal prep because everything is cooked on one surface, making it ideal for busy weeknights.
  • It can be customized to your liking, as the griddle makes it easy to add different ingredients. You can substitute the beef for chicken (we’ve tried this and it’s also delicious!). You can add in different veggies, as well as making your own homemade teriyaki sauce.

How to Make Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry on the Blackstone

  1. Start by slicing your beef into thin strips and then add it to a shallow bowl. Add the teriyaki sauce until the steak is coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours) so the steak becomes tender and juicy.
  2. Once you are ready to start cooking, preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat.
  3. Drizzle some avocado oil on the griddle surface and spread it with a spatula to prevent any sticking.
  4. Add your thinly sliced marinated steak to one side of your griddle and cook until brown.
  5. Add the frozen stir-fry veggies to the other side of your griddle, sprinkle with garlic powder, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Then, using a squeeze bottle with water, squirt water over your veggies and cover with a dome lid to steam for a couple of minutes so they soften more quickly.
  7. Remove the cover and continue letting them cook until they become soft and slightly charred.
  8. Combine your steak with your stir-fry veggies and drizzle some more teriyaki sauce over the top to coat the veggies (if desired). Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  9. Serve over rice or noodles.

Variations

  • Switch out the veggies. Instead of using the frozen veggies, add some fresh veggies instead. You can also add in some pineapple chunks.
  • Change out the steak. Use shrimp, chicken, or a combination of chicken and steak to switch out the protein.
  • Add different flavoring. Try adding some honey and more garlic for a honey garlic teriyaki, or add some sesame oil with toasted sesame seeds for sesame teriyaki sauce.

Storage and Leftovers

  • Store any leftovers from the beef stir fry in the refrigerator up to 4 days in a covered airtight container.
  • To heat the leftovers, microwave for 1-2 minutes or until warmed through. You can also reheat on your Blackstone over medium heat until hot.
