When planning out meals for my family for the week, I’m always looking for easy recipes that don’t require a lot of ingredients or time in the kitchen. Because, honestly who wants to spend hours in the kitchen preparing dinner after a hectic day.
So, having a few simple, budget-friendly ingredients on hand makes busy weeknights so much easier, especially when you can turn them into a kid-approved meal that even picky eaters will enjoy. That is why I love using kielbasa because it’s cheap, fully cooked and there are so many different ways to use it.
And, although we love our go-to simple kielbasa and zucchini skillet recipe, I decided to change it up with a few new ingredients and make this creamy kielbasa tortellini alfredo that combines cheesy tortellini , with kielbasa, creamy alfredo sauce and broccoli for a hearty and comforting meal that’s perfect for an a no-fuss family dinner on busy weeknights.

Creamy Kielbasa Tortellini Alfredo

Ingredients for Kielbasa Tortellini Alfredo
Turn a package of kielbasa into a simple and budget-friendly dinner your whole family will love with this kielbasa tortellini alfredo with broccoli. It’s the perfect comfort food after a long day that’s quick, easy to make, and delicious.
You will need:
- Frozen cheese tortellini
- Polish kielbasa
- Frozen broccoli florets
- Alfredo sauce
- Parmesan Cheese
- Garlic Powder
How to Make This Easy Kielbasa Tortellini Alfredo
- Cook your frozen tortellini according to the package directions, drain and set aside.
- Slice the kielbasa into quarter size pieces, add to a skillet, and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through and lightly brown.
- While the kielbasa is cooking, microwave your frozen broccoli according to the package directions.
- Once the kielbasa is cooked, add the Alfredo sauce and garlic powder and stir until heated through.
- Add the cooked tortellini and broccoli, then stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Enjoy!
Helpful Tips
- Cut the kielbasa into quarter-size pieces so you get a little bit of kielbasa in every bite.
- Keep the heat low after adding the Alfredo sauce to prevent it from sticking to the skillet.
- If you find your sauce to thick, you can add a splash of milk to thin it down.
Variations
- If you would prefer not to use the microwave, you can cook your frozen broccoli right in the skillet with the kielbasa after it has browned. Just add the broccoli, cover and cook for 6 minutes or until the broccoli is heated through.
